Help to make worship meaningful and welcoming by greeting all attendees, distributing worship guides, helping with seating and the offering, and making the worship experience comfortable and inclusive.

Assist in leading worship services by reading scripture, offering prayers, and giving offertory invitations, all of which are prepared and provided to them.

Friends folk love our warm beverages!  Help prepare hot beverages service before either service and help with clean up afterward.

The communion steward oversees all aspects of preparation and administration of communion by preparing the elements and the table, assisting in serving and cleaning up after the service.

Assist the Outreach committee by changing the church sign to notify the community about church events, as well as to spread our church's message of welcome and inclusion!

Help with curbside placement of recycling and/or trash bins.  Recycling is once every two weeks early on Fridays and trash pick-up is weekly, early on Mondays.  Bins are placed at the curb the afternoon or evening before the scheduled pick-up day and returned to the side of the church after pick-up. One-time only, weekly, or quarterly sign-ups--all are welcome!

Nurture Teams support Church members and friends by providing care, connection and comfort. You can provide meals and transportation, call and visit those who are hospitalized or place-bound, coordinate activities of affinity groups

Support our immigrant neighbors by assisting with free English conversation or citizenship classes for adults at the BIIN offices in Bryan. Curriculum materials and classroom support are provided. English immersion is encouraged during classes, so fluency in Spanish is not necessary.

Deliver (contactless) free emergency contraceptives & pregnancy tests to local teens and young adults. Must be able to commit to 2 deliveries per month and attend in-person training.

Members and friends of Friends volunteer the first Saturday of each month in downtown Bryan, interviewing clients, pulling and bagging groceries and loading cars for our food insecure neighbors.

family promise.png

This is an area-wide, volunteer-based non-profit supporting families with children that provides shelter, meals, and support services. Friends Church is on a rotation of one week of support for families with 12 other host churches in our community, providing meals, groceries and overnight stays at the shelter.

Looking for a way to engage face to face with your neighbors who are short of food? Come for an hour or more on Friday afternoon to Peace Lutheran Church parking lot any time between 2:30 and 6:00. We will be sorting and distributing produce and other food provided by Brazos Valley Food Bank.

SoulCare Ministry

SoulCare is a ministry at Fortress Nursing and Rehab Center in College Station. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 10am in the Activity Directors office for singing, devotionals and prayer with residents.
